About Help Portrait | Oregon Coast

Help-Portrait | Oregon Coast is an independent group of volunteers who are participating in the worldwide Help-Portrait movement to give portraits away to the underprivileged in the community. Each year, around the holiday season, a group of local photographers and volunteers organize HP events to give out free portraits and smiles to many deserving individuals and families in the central Oregon coast communities including Newport, Lincoln City, Waldport, and Toledo.

Our Goals and Purpose

Help-Portrait is a movement of photographers who are using their time, equipment and expertise to give back to those who are less fortunate this holiday season. Our goal is to give out at least one 5×7 or 8×10 high quality professional photograph to each person or family.

Who needs pictures?

Anyone who wouldn’t normally have access to or be able to afford professional photography — single moms (and their kids), single dads (and their kids), sick children, sick parents, the elderly, army vets, underprivileged families, your neighbor?
